We would like to extend the biggest THANK YOU to all the artists, dancers, choreographers, collaborators and audience members for coming out to show your support last Saturday for our Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase! We love and appreciate every single person who helped make this event such a great success. From the amazing local artwork on display to the spectacular new choreography created specifically for the event, we could not be more grateful to have hosted this event. We held space for survivors of sexual violence, and we used the power of creative expression to share this vision. Thank you to the Tucson Museum of Art for having us.
If you weren't able to join us for the event, we unveiled our exciting goal of acquiring a permanent HOME for the EDP community!
With a permanent physical space, Esperanza Dance Project will be able to provide increased access to performances, facilitate peer advocate trainings, teach technique classes and offer safe space for young adults and the community at large.
While we are eternally grateful for the rehearsal spaces and the ability to rent venues such as the Tucson Museum of Art for fundraisers, having a permanent home would astronomically increase our outreach and impact.
From hosting 2 annual fundraisers we will be able to offer weekly hours open to the public! Dance classes and choreography! Safe space for all!
